Cybervision Disaster Recovery System is a Linux-based remote data backup and disaster recovery system designed and developed by Venus Information Technology Inc.. It provides real-time data backup, overcoming the shortcomings of local disaster recovery, and provides an overall and integrated disaster recovery solution for large-scale business operation systems. It guarantees the business continuance and reliability to the fullest extent. When disaster event occurs, it enables the fast recovery of business data and minimizes the loss.

 Remote real-time backup
•  High-performance remote real-time (synchronous, asynchronous) backup. The default operation mode of the system is synchronous/ asynchronous (self-adaptive). The system automatically detects network congestion and switches between the synchronous mode and the asynchronous mode. In a good network condition, data can be copied across the network without delay. So the system uses synchronous mode so that the data on both the master server and the slave servers are consistent.
•  The system captures the changes of data on the master server, and backups the changes quickly to the slave servers, ensuring the data consistency.
•  When the network is not connected, the system automatically records the data to be sent.
• When the network resumes to the normal condition, the system sends the data to the slave servers so that no data is lost.

Quick switch between master and slave
•  As some severe problems occur on the master server, the backup system becomes a new master system. This is called role switch. During the disaster, no data backup will be done. When the original master system recovers after the disaster, it is required to perform reverse data synchronization and role switch.

 One server, two roles
•  A server can run business operations, as well as provide the backup function. A server can be configured as a master server and the slave server of other master servers.

 Remote data recovery
•  As some severe problems occur, the remote backup ensures that no data will be lost. After the role switch, the remote slave server can quickly switch to a master server and provide regular services.

Does not interfere with applications running on the master server
•  Backup technologies based on the application layer consume a large amount of system resources and will interfere with the business operations on the master server. The disaster recovery technologies based on the application layer cannot capture all the operations on data and cannot guarantee the data consistency.
•  Cybervision Disaster Recovery System provides disaster data processing based on the data layer. SInc.e it is below the application layer, it does not interfere with applications. On the one hand, it saves system resources. On the other hand, it does not require different backup agents for different applications. It can also accurately capture all the operations on data.
