Built on embedded CPU of industrial level, CyberBypass Transparent Gateway Protector is designed to solve the problem that transparent gateways are prone to failure in LANs. The protector performs real-time monitoring on the network link and transparent gateway under protection. When any fault is detected, the protector switches the devices and reset the link to direct connection mode. By this means, it prevents the entire corruption by single device failure and greatly enhances network availability.
→ Functions
Automatic Protection on link failure : The protector can detect a connection status. If the link of a transparent gateway is down, the protector will switch the connection automatically and isolate the device, thus keeping the network available.
Automatic Protection on failure of transparent gateway: The protector monitors the running status of a transparent gateway by Heartbeat. If a transparent gateway works abnormally, the protector will switch the connection automatically and isolate the device, thus keeping the network available.
Automatic Protection on power failure: When the power of the protector or a transparent gateway fails, the network is continually available.
Automatic Recovery: After the failed transparent gateway is recovered, the protector can detect the up status of the gateway and the connection of network, and then switch the connection back to the transparent gateway.
Watch Dog: With watchdog, the stability and reliability of the protector's CPU is guaranteed.

→ Easy-to-Use
When CyberBypass Transparent Gateway Protector is used with a transparent gateway, the user only needs to connect the protector's internal/external Ethernet ports to the network's internal/external ports respectively, and connect the protection Ethernet port to the transparent gateway Ethernet port, as well as the control port to the serial port of the transparent gateway. Then the protector can perform its role nicely.
