Founded in 1996 by an overseas returnee who has earned her Ph.D. in the United States , Venus Info Tech Inc..is a high-tech network security enterprise with proprietary intellectual property rights.

Venus is currently running three core businesses: security solutions, security service, and security products. As far as security solutions are concerned, Venus provides industry-specific total solutions for network security and offers a set of solutions called Venus Security Operation Center (VSOC) , which, based on customers' existing security architecture, integrates macroscopic monitoring and emergency response technology to build a real-time dynamic risk management system so as to help customers achieve their objective of Driving technology with management and managing with technology. As for security service, Venus provides entire services of network security risk assessment, emergency response and CISP certification and training by resorting to Security Person-centered network security service system and complying with the international security standard of BS ISO/IEC 17799 so as to build up first-class security service capability globally. Regarding security products, Venus provides a series of network security products, the core of which is intrusion detecting, defending and blocking technologies, and, by integrating network security management technology, builds a complete network security active defense system encompassing security facilities Inc.luding systems of Intrusion Detection, Bugs Scanning, Intrusion Tracing, Physical Isolation and Checkup, Host Protection, Security Auditing, Anti-Virus, Network Security Management and Disaster Backup.

Venus has long enjoyed the caring and encouragement from the government leaders. On January 24, 2000, President Jiang Zemin and other state leaders Inc.luding Mr. Li Lanqing and Mr. Zeng Qinghong came to inspect Venus. On January 24, 2003, President Hu Jintao interviewed Dr. Yan Wangjia, CEO of Venus.

Venus has made continuous technological innovation in the past few years to make sure that it keeps pace with state-of-the-art technologies in the world. It has undertaken over forty key research projects of information security at state, ministry and provInc.ial level, Inc.luding National 863 Projects and industrialization projects of State Development Planning Commission. Venus currently employs one of the strongest network security research teams in China , comprising over one hundred experts working in its Active Defense Lab, Beijing R&D Center , Shanghai R&D Center , In-house Post-doctoral Station - the first of its kind of network security in China , and CNCERT group.

1996 founded in Beijing by Dr. Jane Yan, an overseas returnee who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a PhD. in Computer Science
1998 signed MOU with ICSA to disseminate network security technology in China jointly
1999 established Active Defense Lab, which focus on the research of anti-intrusion technology as well as vulnerabilities of all kinds of OS and applications-the first of its kind in China
1999 released the 1st Chinese series publication on information security allied with National Information Center
